MEETINGS & MEMBERSHIP

Please Join Us!

All are welcome to join and participate in our Society.  All knowledge and skill levels are welcome, and no prerequisites or equipment are needed to join or attend our events.  We aim to connect with each other, our community, and the night sky. 

MEMBERSHIP
Paid membership has benefits! It entitles you to the opportunity to hold office, vote on club matters, and access the club's Telescope Library program (check out a telescope to use for up to a month at a time!). 

In addition to the above benefits, membership with the Shoreline Astronomical Society automatically enrolls you as a member of the Astronomical League and all the benefits within (~$40 Value).  These include structured observing programs for beginners and advanced astronomers, a quarterly publication, and discounts on major astronomy periodicals.  

  • Dues For 2025:
    • Individual Membership $25
    • Family Membership is $30
      • For 2 Adults and their dependents
    • Student & Youth Membership  $15
      •  Either an individual <16 years old OR a student enrolled in post-secondary education  
    • Economic Hardship (contact the club)
      • If the cost is prohibitive for a new or existing member, the club will adjust the cost of their membership for a calendar year, to be reviewed again annually.

We accept cash or Checks (Made out to the Shoreline Astronomical Society), which can be paid at a general meeting.   Additionally, we now can accept various payments (Credit/Debit) via PayPal. We'll reach out after payment for contact details.

Despite the touch-and-go weather, we had a great time last night at Salt Meadow Park.  Hi All, Some Updates We now accept online payment for club memberships on our Meetings and Membership Page ! This is in addition to check and cash payments, those options remain.
